These alerts may address computer security, e-mail fraud, online scams, identity theft and other consumer-protection issues. Following is a list of these alerts.

  • Heartland Payment Systems debit card data compromise (January 26, 2009)

    First Command Bank has been notified by MasterCard Security of a debit and credit card data compromise. The source of the breach has been identified as Heartland Payment Systems based out of New Jersey. First Command Bank is not affiliated with this company. If your debit card has been affected, you will receive a letter with additional details and instructions within the next 7-10 days. If your debit card is not affected, you will not receive a letter and you can continue using your card. If you suspect fraudulent transactions have posted to your bank account, please notify us immediately at 888-763-7600 to file a dispute.     UPDATE: With the announcement of this data compromise, there have been increasing reports of fraudsters engaging in the Telephone Fraud Scam. Please be assured that First Command Bank will never ask you for your card number for verification. First Command Bank advises consumers to never give out confidential or personal information when receiving unsolicited phone calls or e-mails.
